Donation Supports DARE Program
The Black River Local School District received a donation of $800 from Chet and Fran’s Groceries to support the school’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program. Chet and Fran’s Groceries made the donation in effort to promote drug and alcohol awareness in the community.    
Prepared for Learning Campaign
The Prepared for Learning Campaign has been created with the intent to put children first and give them the tools they need to prepare for learning. On August 23, the doors to the Black River Education Center will be open for the first 100 Black River students in grades K-12 to come in and start to prepare for the new school year.  
Athletic Facility Updates Funded by Community Donations as Part of Facility Enhancement Project
The Black River Facility Committee projects are proceeding.   As you go by the Black River Local Schools, you will see changes on the grounds and campus.  Many of these changes are funded by private donations to the Black River Facility Committee. 
Vaccine Clinics Coming To Black River

Black River Local School District Now Enrolling Students for Preschool and Kindergarten
Registration is now open for children Ages 3-5 for integrated preschool, and for Kindergarten registration for those students who will turn five years old by August 31.
