FFA Fruit Sales
Black River FFA Annual Fruit Sales starts October 15th through November 19th.  
Black River FFA Chipotle Night
The Black River FFA will hold a fundraiser at Chipotle in Ashland on 1988 East Main (US 250) in Ashland on Thursday, November 8 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  33?% of the proceeds go to the Black River FFA 
Black River Board of Education Meeting
The Black River Board of Education meeting has been moved from October 18, 2018 to October 25th.  The meetings will be held in the Black River High School Media Center.

Early voting has officially started! If you are voting early or waiting until Election Day, I wanted to make you aware of the wording for Black River’s Permanent Improvement (PI) levy on the ballot.   
Black River FCCLA to Host Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly
Black River FCCLA is excited to host the Veterans Day breakfast and assembly on Friday, November 9 at Black River High School (BRHS). FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a student-led organization with family at its focus 
Letter on Scabies-especially to 5th grade parents
Health care update on Scabies prevention and treatment, proviided by the Ashland County Health Department and the school nurse. 
Statement on Chickenpox
Attached is a notice from the Ashland County Health Department, concering chickenpox.  Currently one Black River student has this virus. 
Black River One View Now Active
Parents if you would prefer to use our online Portal "One View"  it is active for you to set up your information so you could fill out the Emergency Medical Information online, and submit it digitally.  Please contact the Black River Local Schools Board of Education Office for your childs ID number.

Upcoming Kindergartner's and all upcoming 7th and 12th Grade Students for the Fall of 2018-19

If your child will be entering  either 7th or 12th grade in the fall of 2018, he/she MUST have a current *Tdap booster and a *Meningococcal vaccination by September 15th, 2018 in order to remain in school.

 

If your child is preparing to enter Kindergarten this fall, please make an appointment now to assure he/she is up to date and ready vaccination wise to meet state guidelines. Make your doctor appointments now to assure your ready for the fall school year.

All the reasons you should keep your children home from school.
