Prepared for Learning Campaign to Lend Black River Families a Helping Hand

The Prepared for Learning Campaign has been created with the intent to put children first and give them the tools they need to prepare for learning.

Did you realize that Black River Schools has 42% of its student body on the free or reduced lunch program? For this reason, we see a need to lend Black River families a helping hand.

On August 21 from 4-6 p.m., the doors to the Black River Education Center will be open for Black River students in grades K-12 to help prepare for the new school year.

The children will be given:

• Free school supplies

• Free book bags

• Free haircuts

• A bag of after school snacks

• Pirate Spirit wear

If you feel this program will be beneficial to you and your family, we would love to see you there!
