Our fourth grade classrooms are learning communities driven by respect, equity, and consistency. We hold high expectations for every student while encouraging students to take risks, make mistakes, encounter new learning, and ask questions to increase their knowledge.
In fourth grade students will focus on a variety of Ohio standards. Some of our most important standards are:
Fiction and nonfiction comprehension, writing multi-paragraph essays relating to texts and research, and exploring a variety of genres in texts.
Multiplication and long division, fractions, decimals, geometry, metric units, and solving multi-step word problems.
Map skills, Native Americans, government, economics, founding of our country, and civil war.
Scientific method, Earth surfaces, fossils, living things, and energy.
