Mrs. Klingshirn's Bio

Mrs. Klingshirn
Welcome to kindergarten!  I have been an educator for 9 years.  This will be my fifth year teaching kindergarten and my first year as a Black River Pirate.  I graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) and a Reading Endorsement (K-12).  I recently completed my Master's in Educational Technology, also through Ashland University.  The best part of my job is creating a fun and welcoming environment for our youngest learners, as well as building rapport with my students and families.  When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 4 years, our newborn son, and our dog.  I also love reading, completing puzzles, crafting, and the beach!

Grade Level Statement:
In kindergarten, students will work across all content areas to build foundational skills for their future educational career.  Students will begin reading and writing and will learn beginning math skills including number sense, geometry and algebraic thinking (addition and subtraction).  Students will be encouraged to demonstrate positive behavior in the classroom and school setting.  We look forward to seeing your child progress through their learning in kindergarten!
