On October 12, the Black River FFA Chapter hosted their annual Farm Games event. In addition to the Black River FFA, also in attendance were FFA members from Mapleton, Wellington and Buckeye FFA chapters. However, in the end it was the Black River FFA chapter that took home the gold!
The committee planned activities that encouraged fellow FFA members to use team working and leadership skills. In addition, to the leadership activities, members also participated in a variety of games, such as musical tailgates, bale toss, egg toss, the sponge game, tug-a-war, a three-legged sack r; egg on a spoon; and wheelbarrow relay race, corn hole, pumpkin carving and an ice cream eating contest. All members in attendance had a great time interacting with other local chapters and meeting new friends.
The Black River FFA would like to thank Mapleton, Wellington, and Buckeye for showing their support and Mapleton for bringing the wonderful desserts. The following Black River FFA members attended the event: Chloee Howard, Hope Diaz, Hannah Abfall, Lexi Shearer, Anna Shearer, Katlyn Kubitz, Molly Cordonnier, Becca Stroud, Allison Herbert, Cori Aviles, Callee Aviles, Eric Cordonnier, Katlyn Long, Brandon Weidrick, Cassidy Markuzic, Madison Bias, Nathan Clifford, Christyne Hall, Mya Kunsman, Shay Ladina, Joe Mennell, Clifford Kovic, Joey Duche, Tessa Sprinkle, Kylie Long and Mitchell Young.
