Intervention

How Was My Child Chosen for Title 1?
Students who are chosen to participate in the Title 1 Reading program have been selected based on multiple sources of data including, but not limited to, MAPS Assessments, DRA Scores, Fountas and Pinnell's Benchmark Assessments, Air Test Results, and the RTI process.

What will the Intervention Look Like?
Students will receive small group reading instruction with a reading teacher five days per week for 30 minutes a day.  Your child's reading teacher will work collaboratively with your child's classroom teacher as well as the other Title reading teachers to identify the specific needs of your child.  Your child will receive intensive instruction using Fountas and Pinnell's Leveled Literacy Intervention Program (LLI).  This instruction includes fluency, comprehension, and word study and is aligned with the reading instruction your child is receiving from their classroom teacher.
