At the January 10th Black River Board of Education Meeting the Preliminary School year calendar was passed. Parent Teacher Conferences, and quarter ending dates will be established as well. 23-24 Board Approved Calendar (draft 2).pdf. The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 29. The last day for students will be May 30, 2024.

The Black River Local Schools would like to wish all of our Black River Family and Friends a safe and Happy Holiday Break. Beginning December 21, Black River School Buildings will be closed. The District Office will be open December 21-22 and 27-30 Hours are from 7:30 until 3:00 pm. All buildings and offices will be closed January 2nd, 2023. School Resumes for all buildings , Tuesday January 3rd.

The Black River Local Schools would like to wish all of our Black River Family and Friends a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. There is a 2 hour release on Wednesday, November 23. All district buildings will be closed on Thursday (November24, and Friday (November 25). Students will not have school on Monday November 28th. The Central Office will be open for normal hours on Monday, November 28th. School resumes on Tuesday, November 29th.
