Elementary School

The 8th graders and kindergarteners paired up again today for a Christmas party and letters from Santa!  Mrs. Schlauch's kindergarten class wrote letters to "Santa," and Ms. Herriage's 3rd period social studies class answered their letters.  Today we joined classes and had hot chocolate, popcorn, and candy canes while the 8th grade buddies read the letters to the kindergarteners.  The 8th graders also read them the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas."  Everyone had such a good time, and it was a great chance for the 8th graders to step up as leaders in the building and for the kindergarteners to have good, older role models to look up to.  We are looking forward to teaming up several more times throughout the school year.
