Black River Local Schools, in collaboration with the Medina County Education Service Center hosted a Career Fair for students in grades 8–12 on Thursday, April 17th from 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Black River High School gymnasium.
BRHS welcome 30 local businesses to the event, giving students a unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals from across a wide range of industries. In addition, high school students rotated through eight soft skills sessions, covering critical employment readiness topics such as:

Planning Your Career After High School
Understanding Benefits
Applications
Resume Writing
Entrepreneurship
Financial Management
How to Keep a Job
This year, our 8th-grade students also participated. In addition to visiting the Career Fair, they will engaged in a “Students Go to Work” activity, working alongside several companies to complete hands-on tasks that simulate real-world job responsibilities.
