Recently, members of the Black River FFA Chapter had the privilege of joining Leadership Medina County for their annual Ag Day, proudly organized and sponsored by the Medina County Farm Bureau for the past 38 years!
The day began with breakfast at the Medina County Fair office, where participants learned about the fair’s long-standing role in supporting agriculture and youth programs. Next, the group toured Maple Valley Dairy, learning about the maple syrup process and dairy herd management — thank you to the Fulton family for your warm hospitality and for sharing your farm with us!
The final stop was Boyert’s Greenhouse, where Mike and Patty Boyert welcomed everyone for a greenhouse tour and delicious locally sourced lunch featuring products from farms and businesses throughout Medina County.
Our FFA members helped prepare and serve the meal while sharing how FFA has shaped their leadership and passion for agriculture.
A huge thank-you to all our hosts and the Medina County Farm Bureau for inviting us to take part in such an inspiring and educational community event!
