Eight sophomore students from Black River enjoyed tours of the Barbasol and Novatex Manufacturing Facilities. The experience was not only engaging but incredibly valuable. Students had the unique opportunity to explore all aspects of a manufacturing operation—including line work, maintenance, office roles, accounting, engineering, and management. It was eye-opening for them to see how each of these roles contributes to the production of goods that are distributed worldwide. This experience sparked curiosity, encouraged thoughtful questions, and truly expanded their understanding of potential future paths in the manufacturing sector.

motivation!

This summer, Black River FFA members proudly showcased their talents and dedication at the
Medina County Fair, Lorain County Fair, and Ohio State Fair. Students exhibited a wide
variety of projects ranging from livestock—cattle, hogs, goats, sheep, rabbits, and poultry—to
woodworking, welding, gardening, and SAE posters. In addition, many students were active in 4-
H, Junior Leaders, and Junior Fair Board, making it a truly busy and rewarding summer.

Congratulations!
The Black River FFA is proud of all members who represented the chapter at the county and
state levels. Whether through livestock, shop projects, crops, or posters, each student’s
dedication and hard work paid off this summer.

💛 Today our students and staff gathered for a No One Eats Alone Lunch as part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Week. Sharing a meal together reminds us that connection matters, friendships heal, and no one should ever feel left out.
